FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I register for classes?Click on the desired class in Scheduled Courses then press the "Register Now" button. Registration can also be completed by calling (916) 640-1420. How do I pay my course fees?Course fees may be paid online by credit card after registering or by completing a Payment Coupon Form after registering, available from the Forms page. Registration priority is based on date payment is received. Minimum student enrollment is required for each session. How do I get to your training facility?Directions are available on the Facility Info page. Does your training facility provide overnight accommodations?No. There are no onsite overnight accommodations. Lodging is available within a short driving distance. Facility Info page. How do I cancel my registration in a class?You may cancel your enrollment prior to the start of the class: How do I request a refund?Refunds must be requested 48 hours prior to the start of the class: How can I suggest future classes for you to host?We welcome your suggestions by e-mail What type of certifications do you provide for your classes?Students who successfully complete courses offered through California Fire And Rescue Training Authority, Sacramento will receive a CFRTA certificate. In addition, CFRTA offers courses and certifications from State Fire Training and the State Fire Marshal, the National Wildfire Coordinating Group and the National Fire Academy. Why do I have to register at your local college when I register for a class at your facility?Training classes offered by the California Fire And Rescue Training Authority, Sacramento are administered through American River Community College and the Los Rios Community College District. CFRTA receives reimbursement money from the college for providing classes, which helps to offset the cost of the classes and keeps student fees down. Students receive college units for successfully completing classes, which may then be used as credits towards earning a degree or for continued education. Only those courses indicated require enrollment.
