How do I sign up for courses?

Click on the desired course in Course Schedule then press the "Sign Up" button. Registration can also be completed by calling (916) 475-1660.

How do I pay my course fees?

Course fees may be paid online by credit card after registering. Students may also contact the Business Office at (916) 475-1660 to make payment arrangements over the phone.    Registration priority is based on date payment is received. 

How do I get to your training facility?

Courses are held at several locations.  Directions for commonly used locations are available on the Facility Info page.  Each registered student will receive a student confirmation letter by email approx. two weeks prior to the start of the course; this will include the correct location for the course along with a map and directions.  You may also contact the business office for further information.

Does your training facility provide overnight accommodations?

There are no on-site overnight accommodations. Lodging is available within a short driving distance.  See the Facility Info page for more information.

How do I cancel my enrollment in a course?

You may cancel your enrollment to receive a full refund of fees paid as long as the cancellation is received two weeks (10 working days) prior to the course start date. Cancellations must be made by either:

No refunds are available in the event of a cancellation received less than two weeks (10 working days) before the course. Any enrollee who fails to cancel prior to the first day of the course forfeits the entire registration fee.

What type of certifications do you provide for your courses?

Students who successfully complete courses offered through California Fire & Rescue Training Authority will receive a CFRTA certificate. In addition, CFRTA offers courses and certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA), California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI), National Association of EMTs (NAEMT), State Fire Training (SFT) and the State Fire Marshal.
